O Filii et Filiae

Words: Robert Loretz
Music: Medieval Traditional
This joyful Easter Carol recounts the events of Easter week from Mary Magdalen to Thomas' encounter with the Risen Lord. Based on the Latin carol: O Filii et Filiae, the original Latin first verse concludes the carol: "O sons and daughters, the King of Heaven, King of Glory has risen from the dead, Alleluia!" The music has a joyful mood with a syncopated lilt.
