Psalms: Liturgical Year C

Music: Robert Loretz
As well as the Psalms for Sunday Masses of Liturgical Year C, you will also find a PDF that introduces the psalm tones and has further information on the individual modes used throughout and also a guide to using the modes in the setting of an Alleluia. The Psalms are intended for cantor and congregation, where the Cantor would first sing the antiphon alone, then repeat it joined by the congregation. The Cantor would then sing the verses, and each of these would be followed by the antiphon with the congregation. The psalms can be sung accompanied or unaccompanied. The accompaniment for each antiphon is provided, while the accompaniment for the psalm tones used is provided at the beginning, though the chords for the first statement of the psalm tone are written above in each psalm to assist the organist.
