All Praise Most High

Words: St. Francis of Assisi
Music: Robert Loretz
This setting of the Canticle of Creation by St. Francis of Assisi is unique in that the chorus is a three part round, and the verses use an ancient psalm tone. The chorus can be sung twice through at the begiinning and end of the song and once through between each stanza. The chorus expresses the jubilation of St. Francis, for whom everything in creation was like an icon pointing to its source, the good Creator, worthy of every blessing and of all praise.
